The Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA) is relocating to Los Angeles, after beforehand being held in Milan, for Oscar week, and have lined up a starry quintet of names to co-chair the occasion, based by Livia Firth.
The annual awards, which have a good time optimistic forces in style and leisure and their collective potential to maneuver tradition ahead, can be co-chaired by actresses Cate Blanchett and Viola Davis, actor Simu Liu, mannequin Quannah Chasinghorse, and designer and director Tom Ford.
The Green Carpet Fashion Awards will happen on March 8 and can champion “interconnected cultural change and the most inspiring efforts that drive it”.
Livia Firth, founding father of the Green Carpet Challenge and driving power of the GCFA, stated in an announcement: “Fashion can and needs to be a lifeline. Sustainability options are intersectional options and all of us want to return collectively and forge robust paths with human and ecological justice centre stage.
“The GCFA will showcase just that – the level of commitment and focus we all need to mirror, pulling together two powerful, interconnected industries to step up for collective transformation.”
The 2023 occasion will see set and manufacturing designer Stefan Beckman serving as inventive director and the GCFA board contains mannequin company pioneer Bethann Hardison, mannequin Amber Valletta, designer Christopher Bevans and Vogue sustainability editor Tonne Goodman.
