BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The area’s next cold front is set to arrive late Wednesday. Before that, it is going to feel more like Spring than Winter.

Temperatures will be warm Wednesday morning into the afternoon. We could even come close to setting a record high for the date as highs climb into the low to mid 80°s. Watch for areas of fog in the morning, but dense fog should be isolated due to elevated wind speeds.

Winds will stay breezy through the day. Showers and thunderstorms will hold off until after dark Wednesday.

As the cold front approaches, a line of thunderstorms will develop ahead of the front. This line of thunderstorms could have one or two strong, possibly severe, storms embedded. Damaging wind will be the main concern.
